What Is a Pest Control Blueprint — and Why Does Nomobug Give It to You Free?

Quick answer: A pest control blueprint is a documented map of your home showing where pests get in, where they hide and breed, which species were found, what was treated, and the exact fixes that keep them out. Nomobug builds yours during a booked treatment and hands it over free — it’s not a free inspection (we don’t do those), it’s the knowledge and documentation that come with the job. Most pest control goes like this: a technician turns up, sprays around for twenty minutes, takes the payment, and leaves. You never really learn what was wrong, where the pests came from, or what to do so they don’t come back. A pest control blueprint fixes that — it’s a documented map of your home showing the pests’ entry points, their hiding and breeding hotspots, and the specific fixes that keep them out, handed to you as a reference you keep. Nomobug includes it free with every treatment. Here’s what’s actually in it, why it’s worth having, and why almost nobody else bothers.

What is a pest control blueprint?

A pest control blueprint is a plain-language map of your property’s pest situation. Not a receipt that says “general pest treatment — RM299.” An actual picture of what’s going on: where the pests are coming in, where they’re living, what they are, what we did, and what you should fix.

Think of it like going to the dentist. A bad dentist just drills and sends you home. A good one puts the X-ray on the screen and shows you the cavity, explains how it got there, and tells you to floss the back molars you’ve been skipping. Same treatment, completely different level of understanding. The blueprint is the X-ray for your home.

What’s actually in the blueprint?

A technician inspecting a home — the blueprint is built as the technician works through your property

The technician builds it as they work through your home. A complete blueprint covers:

  • The entry-point map. Every way pests are getting in — a dried-out drain trap, the gap around the pipe behind the fridge, a broken roof tile, the worn brush strip under the kitchen door. These are the doors that make treatment temporary if they’re left open.
  • The hotspot map. Where they’re actually living and breeding — the warm cavity beside the fridge motor, the cabinet voids, the drain riser, the gap behind the splashback. The harbourage you’d never think to look at.
  • The pest ID. What you’re actually dealing with — German cockroach (Blattella germanica) nesting indoors versus the American cockroach (Periplaneta americana) wandering up from the drain are two different problems with two different fixes.
  • The treatment record. What went where, and which product — Nomobug uses the BASF Provecta range, and you can confirm any product against the Department of Agriculture registered pesticides list.
  • The recommendations. The proofing you can act on yourself — seal this gap, mesh that drain, fix the trap. This is the part that makes the difference last.
  • Post-treatment care. The small things that protect the work — including our reminder not to mop the wall-edge strips where the residual sits, or you wash away the treatment on day three.

On a terrace house in Kajang, the blueprint is what caught the real problem. The kitchen treatment was routine, but mapping the entry points turned up a cracked roof tile letting roof rats into the ceiling void — nothing to do with the cockroach job the owner called about. They sealed it that week and headed off a rat problem before it started.

— Job notes, Nomobug field team

Why is it valuable to you?

Because a treatment on its own is temporary, and a blueprint is what makes it stick. Most pests come back for one reason: a structural gap that nobody closed. Spray the cockroaches all you like — if the drain riser is still an open highway, next month’s batch walks straight back in.

The blueprint hands you the list of exactly what to fix, so the treatment holds instead of resetting every few months. It also means you understand your own home’s risk rather than depending on a stranger with a sprayer. And it’s genuinely useful paperwork if you rent the place out, sell it, or run a small home-based food business and want a record of your pest management. Knowing why beats being told to just book again — for the full mechanism, see why pests keep recurring.

Why don’t most companies offer it?

Two reasons, and the second one is the honest one.

The first is time. Documenting a property properly — mapping entries, noting harbourage, writing recommendations — takes longer than spraying and leaving. On a high-volume, rush-the-next-job model, that time is money nobody wants to spend.

The second is less flattering to the industry: knowledge keeps you dependent. A company that sprays and tells you nothing keeps you calling back every time the problem returns — which, if they never told you to seal the drain, it will. Keeping the customer slightly in the dark is, quietly, a business model. A blueprint does the opposite. It teaches you to prevent, which means you need us less. Nomobug’s bet is simple: being straight with people earns more repeat bookings and referrals than keeping them guessing ever did. We would rather be the company you recommend than the one you’re stuck with.

Is the blueprint a free inspection?

No — and the distinction is worth being clear about, because it’s easy to assume. Nomobug doesn’t do free standalone inspections. Our quote is a fixed price you get over WhatsApp from a description and a photo, with no site visit needed to price the job.

The blueprint isn’t a free visit to look and quote. It’s built by the technician while treating your home on a booked job, and handed to you free as part of that service. You paid for a treatment; the documentation, the pest map, and the knowledge come bundled with it at no extra charge. That’s the difference between “come look at my house for free” (which we don’t offer) and “you’ll walk away understanding your home” (which you will).

How to get your blueprint

Nothing complicated, and nothing extra to ask for:

  1. WhatsApp us a description and a photo of what you’re seeing. We reply with a fixed quote — no site visit needed to price it.
  2. Book the treatment. A one-off is RM299; the 3-visit 14-day plan that clears an established colony is RM499 with a warranty. (Market rates for the same sit around RM330 and RM550.)
  3. Get your blueprint on the day. The technician documents the entry points, hotspots, and fixes as they work, and hands it over when the job’s done. No separate charge.

Want to actually understand your home’s pest problem?

Book a treatment and get your free blueprint on the day — entry points, hotspots, and the fixes that keep pests out. Fixed quote on WhatsApp, no site visit needed. One-off from RM299, 3-visit 14-day plan from RM499. Deposit 50% or pay via ATOME.

Send us a WhatsApp with a photo of what you’re seeing. Same-day reply Mon–Sat.

When you don’t need one yet

Honest as always: if you don’t need a treatment, you don’t need a blueprint. Save your money if:

  • You’ve seen two or three cockroaches with no egg cases — a hardware-store gel bait at the back of the cabinets sorts it in a couple of weeks.
  • It’s a single ant trail through one visible gap — seal it with silicone and the trail dies.
  • You’ve had one stray sighting and nothing since — monitor for two weeks before spending anything.

The blueprint comes into its own when there’s a real infestation to treat and a home worth understanding — recurring problems, an older house, a property you rent out, or anywhere the pests keep finding a way back in. That’s when knowing your home’s map actually saves you money.

Hafiz’s service was excellent, efficient, and well-organized, covering every critical location from the kitchen, toilet, bedroom, and living room. He explained the function of gel bait and Provcta.
I’m giving him a 5-star rating.

Overall, from the last two visits, I found many spots/nests. The gel bait and Provcta were very impressive. The effect was very noticeable; the cockroaches were no longer visible in the kitchen. There were fewer in the living room. Today was my last visit for baiting and spraying. Hopefully, there will be no more cockroaches after this, God willing.

Highly recommended!

UPDATE REVIEW:

Nomobug has just completed their second service at my home, and once again I’m extremely impressed. They carried out contingency recurring control twice, especially targeting ants and cockroaches, and I really appreciate how they honor their warranty with such professionalism. The overall appointment scheduling and service management were smooth and reliable, which makes me feel very secure and well taken care of.

I’m very satisfied with the results and would highly recommend Nomobug to anyone looking for thorough pest control. Once my current contract finishes, I will definitely be renewing it.

It’s also worth highlighting that the same technician, Faris, has been consistently handling my house. He is punctual, polite, and highly professional. After completing the treatment, he provided a detailed report outlining his findings and preventive actions, even showing me examples of the control measures implemented. This level of transparency and care is rare, and I truly value it.

Overall, Nomobug continues to exceed my expectations—reliable, professional, and trustworthy.

4 MONTHS AGO:

I recently engaged Nomobug Servis Pest Control for a comprehensive treatment targeting cockroaches, ants, rats, common house geckos, and centipedes. They covered both the interior and exterior of my home—including my car—which was a huge plus.

The first service focused on prevention and control, and I was thoroughly impressed. The technician, Faris, was punctual, polite, and highly professional. He took the time to explain each step of the process—from inspection to recommending suitable control measures—and his work was exceptionally clean and tidy.

After completing the treatment, Faris provided a detailed report outlining his findings and the preventive actions taken and even showed me examples of the control measures implemented. I truly appreciated the transparency and care.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with their service and would confidently recommend Nomobug to anyone looking for reliable and thorough pest control.

I’ve come across this company on Facebook and they have responded very promptly and professionally. They keep following up from time to time until I was free to engage their service. I like the persistence. I bought the RM490 package and they came 3 times over the period of 3 months. Now my house has no more cockroaches at all! I am so impressed. Their service is also very atas and staff all friendly and professional. I would recommend anyone looking for pest control service to use this company. This is not a paid ad, I’m really a genuine client who actually did use their service. Please contact me on my Google account if you need to ask more questions.

Detailed inspection. All the hot spots have set traps for the roaches, here’s hoping it’ll work.
The service provided by Nomobug technicians is good. All technicians who come are very ethical and careful. Provide explanations every time before starting the service. For improvement, it is hoped that there will be no manholes ‘overlooked’ in the first service. Because this will affect the quality of Nomobug services and the cockroaches will still be there. Thank you.
A good experience.your staff (Faris) has dine a great job in explaining the Dos n Don’t s to improve my house conditions.

The service is great. I rented an apartment beside waste chamber, for 2 years being spraying consistently but to no avail. But this service clear the root problem by give bait to main points around the house so that even the little ones baited.

FAQ

A pest control blueprint is a documented map of your property that shows where pests are getting in (entry points), where they’re hiding and breeding (hotspots), which species were found, what was treated and with what, and the specific fixes that will keep them out. Think of it like the X-ray a dentist shows you — not just the treatment, but a clear picture of what’s actually going on in your home so you understand it too.
An entry-point map (dried drain traps, pipe gaps, roof-tile openings, door gaps), a hotspot map of harbourage areas (behind the fridge, cabinet voids, drain risers), the pest species identified, a treatment record showing what product went where, proofing recommendations you can act on, and post-treatment care notes — including our reminder not to mop the wall-edge strips where the residual sits. You keep it as a reference for your home.
No — and the difference matters. Nomobug doesn’t do free standalone inspections; our quote is a fixed price you get over WhatsApp without a site visit. The blueprint is built by the technician while treating your home on a booked job, and handed to you free as part of that service. You’re not getting a free visit; you’re getting the documentation and knowledge that come with the treatment you paid for.
Two reasons. It takes extra time to document properly, and — more honestly — knowledge keeps you dependent. A company that sprays and leaves you in the dark keeps you calling back. A blueprint teaches you which gaps to seal and what to fix, which actually reduces how often you need us. Nomobug’s bet is that being transparent earns repeat bookings and referrals better than keeping customers guessing.
WhatsApp us a description and a photo of what you’re seeing, and we’ll send a fixed quote — no site visit needed. Book the treatment (a one-off from RM299, or the 3-visit 14-day plan from RM499), and the technician builds your blueprint on the day as part of the job. There’s no separate charge and nothing extra to ask for; it comes with the service.
Yes. Most pests come back because a structural gap — a dried drain trap, a broken roof tile, a pipe gap behind the fridge — was never closed. The blueprint tells you exactly which ones to fix, so your treatment lasts instead of resetting every few months. It’s also handy documentation if you rent out the property or run a small home-based food business.
